Build habit

Meditation Habit Tracker

To build a meditation habit, start with a few minutes at the same time every day and log each session. In HabitLine, create a daily Build habit called "Meditate", set a reminder for your chosen time, and let the streak and completion rate show whether it is sticking.

How to track meditation in HabitLine

  1. Create a habit and choose Build as its type, then give it an icon, colour and category.
  2. Set the frequency to Daily.
  3. Turn on a reminder for morning, right after you get up, or straight after an existing routine such as coffee.
  4. Set a goal duration: 30 days as a first target.
  5. Add rules: “Phone on silent”, “Same spot every time”, “Two minutes counts on bad days”.
  6. Mark each scheduled day as done, skipped or failed, and watch the streak in Statistics.

Why track meditation?

Meditation is easy to skip because nothing breaks right away when you miss it. A visible streak and a fixed time give the habit a cue and a reward of its own.

Tips that help

  • Start shorter than you think: two to five minutes is enough to build the routine.
  • Anchor it to something you already do every morning.
  • Use Skip, not Fail, for days you planned to rest so the record stays honest.
  • Write one line in the journal after a session if you want to see what changes over time.

Turn it into a goal

Create a goal called “Meditate 30 days in a row”, link this habit to it and add milestones:

  • 7 days
  • 14 days
  • 21 days
  • 30 days

Log it in one click

HabitLine can start with Windows and stay in the tray, so marking the habit done is one click; a Stream Deck plugin is coming soon. The free plan covers up to 5 habits; Premium is unlimited.

Common questions

How long should a meditation session be?

Short is fine to start. Many people begin with two to ten minutes and lengthen it once the daily habit is steady.

Can HabitLine time my meditation?

HabitLine tracks whether you did it, with start and end times if you want them; use your preferred timer for the session itself.

Is HabitLine free?

Yes. The free plan never expires and includes 5 habits, 3 goals, 3 tasks, 5 journal entries and 1 project. Premium removes those limits and adds the full calendar view for $4.99/month, $49.90/year or $149 once.

Do I need an account to use HabitLine?

No. HabitLine runs in guest mode with your data stored locally on your PC. Signing in is optional and syncs your habits, goals, tasks and settings across your Windows PCs.
