Quit Smoking Tracker
A quit smoking tracker shows how long you have been smoke-free and keeps an honest record if you slip. In HabitLine, create a Quit habit called "No smoking", turn on the time counter to see the time since your last cigarette, and use the relapse button if it happens.

How to track quitting smoking in HabitLine
- Create a habit and choose Quit as its type, then give it an icon, colour and category.
- Set the frequency to Daily.
- Turn on a reminder for at the time cravings usually hit.
- Set a goal duration: Set a first goal, such as 30 days.
- Add rules: “No buying packs”, “Walk for five minutes when a craving hits”.
- Turn on the time counter to see the time since your last relapse, and keep the relapse button on.
- Each evening, mark the day as done (you held the line) or failed. Skip is there for days that should not count.
Why track quitting smoking?
Watching the smoke-free time grow is motivating, and a recorded relapse is better than starting a new tracker from zero.
Tips that help
- Write your reasons in the habit description and reread them during cravings.
- Strict mode asks you to confirm before a relapse is recorded.
- Turn on milestone notifications to celebrate time-based milestones.
- Get support from a doctor or a quit line; a tracker works alongside it.
Turn it into a goal
Create a goal called “Smoke-free for 90 days”, link this habit to it and add milestones:
- 1 week
- 1 month
- 2 months
- 3 months
Log it in one press
Put the habit on a key with the HabitLine Stream Deck plugin to mark it done without opening the app. The free plan covers up to 5 habits; Premium is unlimited.
